Kennedy has been coaching soccer for 7 years. She began coaching after her collegiate playing career at Fullerton College from 2014-2016, where she captained the team. Kennedy has experience coaching at the recreational youth, competitive youth, high school and collegiate levels. In addition to coaching competitive youth club soccer for 6 years, she has been a Director of Coaching and Director of Operations for a National League program.
Beckman High School has been Kennedy’s home for the past 3 years. In 2021, Coach Kennedy’s first year at Beckman saw her F/S team become League Champions. She assisted Varsity in 2022 and took over the program for the 2023/2024 season, where Kennedy led the Varsity squad to the 2nd round of CIF SS D3 Playoffs. Kennedy currently has 3 girls teams at Pateadores Irvine.
Pierre Sanjurjo is the current plant supervisor at Beckman High School, Coach P also dedicates his time coaching football and girls soccer coach since the school opened in 2004. Coach P also coached baseball from 2005 to 2018.
He is married to Katie Sanjurjo, an English teacher at Beckman High School. They have four boys; Justin, Orion, Isaac and Casey. The first 3 have graduated from Beckman.
Coach P loves to coach; sports teaches life lessons - it reflects so many aspects of day to day life such as accountability, responsibility and team work.
